Stevenot Costello Zinfandel Burgers

Serves 6

3 lbs. lean ground beef

Shape meat into 6 large patties; make sure they are tightly formed.

MARINADE

1 cup olive oil
1 cup Stevenot Costello Zinfandel
5 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley
2 whole bay leaves
1 tablespoon freshly chopped oregano
1 tablespoon freshly chopped sweet basil
1 tablespoon freshly chopped rosemary
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and freshly ground pepper

Combine all marinade ingredients. Place burgers in a flat dish and pour marinade over them. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, turn patties and marinade for an additional 30 minutes. Barbecue to desired doneness, baste with marinade. Place on toasted buns and serve with a glass of Stevenot Costello Zinfandel and enjoy.
